This policy explains how the website www.daffyhotels.com uses cookies and other trackers when you browse the site. It supplements the information provided in the website’s legal notices.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file or piece of information stored on or read from your device—computer, phone, or tablet—when you visit a website. Other technologies, such as local storage, pixels, or technical identifiers, may serve similar purposes. The term “cookies” as used in this policy covers all of these trackers.
2. Data Controller
The data controller is Travelfactory Exploitation, a company registered with the RCS under number 889 260 451, with its principal place of business located at 50 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris.
If you have any questions regarding the protection of your personal data or the use of cookies, please email [email protected].
3. The types of cookies used
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website’s operation, security, and display. In particular, they help protect the site from malicious requests, preserve your privacy settings, ensure the technical functions of WordPress, and enable access to features you have specifically requested, such as checking availability and completing the booking process. They cannot be disabled via the consent module when they are strictly necessary.
- Axeptio: collecting, storing and recording proof of your cookie choices;
- Cloudflare: security, bot protection and site integrity;
- WordPress and the site’s technical components: site operation, essential preferences and form security;
- Septeo / Resalys: availability search and features required for the booking process when you use them.
Cookies for Audience Measurement and Site Improvement
Subject to your consent when required, these trackers are used to measure website traffic, understand user navigation patterns, identify usability issues, and improve content and performance.
- Piano Analytics: measuring traffic, pages viewed and user journeys on the site;
- Hotjar: analysing page usage and improving the user experience.
Advertising and Conversion Tracking Cookies
Subject to your consent, these trackers are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, attribute certain actions—such as an inquiry or a reservation—to a campaign, and, depending on your preferences, personalize advertising communications.
- Google Ads: measuring advertising conversions and attributing campaigns;
- Meta Pixel: measuring actions taken after exposure to a campaign on Meta services and, where applicable, creating advertising audiences.
Google Tag Manager is used to manage the triggering of certain tags. It does not, in and of itself, constitute a purpose of processing: the tags it controls remain subject to the choices made in the consent manager.
4. Legal Basis and Obtaining Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are used based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in ensuring the security and proper functioning of the website, or because they are essential to providing a service you have requested.
Non-exempt audience measurement, behavioral analysis, and advertising cookies are set or read solely based on your consent. During your first visit, the Axeptio module allows you to accept, reject, or customize your choices by purpose. Simply continuing to browse does not constitute consent.
5. Manage or withdraw your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it. Use the “Manage My Cookies” link in the website footer or the button below. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from accessing the site's essential content. However, certain third-party or personalized features may be limited if they require the rejected cookie.
6. Retention Periods
Cookies are stored for a limited period of time that is proportionate to their purpose:
- session cookies are deleted when you close your browser;
- the choice made in the consent manager is kept for a maximum of six months before you may be asked to choose again, unless there is a significant change to the list of services or their purposes;
- audience measurement trackers are limited to a maximum of thirteen months when they meet the applicable audience measurement conditions; the associated information is kept for a maximum of twenty-five months;
- advertising cookies and cookies set by third-party services are kept for the period stated by the provider in the Axeptio module, without exceeding the period necessary for their purpose.
7. Recipients and Data Transfers
Data collected through cookies may be accessible to Travelfactory Exploitation, its technical service providers, and the suppliers mentioned above, within the scope of their respective responsibilities. Some suppliers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, transfers are governed by the mechanisms provided for under applicable regulations, including an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, supplemented, if necessary, by additional safeguards.
8. Your Rights
When the data associated with cookies allows us to identify you, you may, in accordance with the terms set forth in the regulations, request access to, correction, or deletion of your data; request a restriction on processing; object to processing; or exercise your right to data portability. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, contact [email protected] . You also have the right to file a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
9. Policy Update
This policy may be amended to reflect changes in regulations, technology, or the services used on the site. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. In the event of a significant change to the purposes or providers requiring consent, you may be asked to provide your consent again.
